Obedience – (hupakouo) the Greek word means to hear intelligently; to hear under (of one who at the knock on the door comes to listen and inquire who it is); to heed or conform to a command.
Isaiah 1:19 If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.
The open heaven that everyone seeks is over steps of obedience. It is not a place but each person who obeys.
Obedience is directly linked to HEARING!
Both words (Hearing and Obedience) have become a negative to many Christians. Failure to obey, punishment, inability to hear, fear of failure, fear of hearing wrong, or fear of being deceived are wrongly connected to these words.
Why do I say wrongly? Obedience has good consequences and hearing ignites faith!
